In this article I’ll be talking about my favourite family-friendly pubs to grab a coffee or a bite to eat.
1331 serves quality food from 8am onwards, and it’s the perfect place to enjoy a home cooked breakfast with a coffee, or dinner in the restaurant rooms.
Situated in a beautiful Gergian townhouse, Stonegate Yard offers excellent fresh, locally sourced food. Serving everything from risotto and ravioli to pub classics like my personal favourite, the delicious steak & ale pie, Stonegate Yard has something for everyone.
Circles’ cosy eatery and garden area is one of my favourite spots to warm up with a coffee, a hot water bottle and a blanket. Circles also serves lunch and lots of tasty treats, all for a special 15% discount with your Crafty Card!
York’s favourite Swinegate bistro for more than 30 years, this converted church hall feels homely and welcoming with quirky and original features. Oscars serves heart-warming home-cooked food all day with something for all the family to enjoy.
The Masons Arms
The Masons Arms is a traditional British pub with genuine Gothic features from York Castle with a beer terrace overlooking the River Foss. This is one of my favourite places to go when I’m looking for traditional pub grub!
The Whippet Inn
The Whippet Inn is an unpretentious restaurant serving fantastic locally-sourced beef, as well as fish and fresh vegetarian dishes. There is food for the whole family to enjoy, delivered with down to earth homely Yorkshire hospitality.
Remember, you can get at least 10% off food and drinks at ALL of these venues with a Craft Savvy membership card.
