Starting out on Patrick Pool, heading down Swinegate to finish in Little Stonegate, this tour will take you through pubs old, new, and a little bit different!
1. Valhalla – 4 Patrick Pool
This one-of-a-kind Viking-themed bar makes a great spot to start your evening in a truly original setting. It’s a small bar, so get here early!
This small, cozy bar and café has a unique atmosphere and an excellent choice of ever changing craft drinks.
2. The Biltmore – 29 Swinegate
Right next door to Oscar’s you will find The Biltmore Bar & Grill. The Biltmore is a chic urban bar located in a converted church in the heart of York serving great lagers.
Oscar’s and The Biltmore serve delicious Grill and Bistro food, and Craft Savvy members get 10% off their food! This is a great place in the crawl to stop and enjoy some hearty and tasty food.
3. Oscar’s – 27 Swinegate
Taking a right out of Valhalla and going straight on onto Swinegate, you’ll find Oscar’s, a family-run Wine Bar & Bistro serving hearty Bistro food and offering a wide selection of delicious wines and cocktails.
4. Victor J’s – 1A Finkle Street
Heading around the corner and down Finkle Street, it’s time to enjoy more fine wines and cocktails, as well as premium beers, at Victor J’s, an independent, cosmopolitan café-bar with a great atmosphere!
Make sure to arrive before 9pm if you are planning on eating here!
5. Stonegate Yard – Little Stonegate
Back out of Finkle Street and turning left then right into Little Stonegate, and you’ve arrived at Stonegate Yard, a traditional pub with a great selection of cask beer and other fine craft drinks.
6. Sotano – Little Stonegate
Just a little further down is Sotano, where you can try some delicious, classically-inspired cocktails, trans-atlantic craft beers and unique gins.
7. Kennedy’s – Little Stonegate
And finally, a couple of doors down is Kennedy’s, a friendly and stylish bar, and a great place to finish your evening.
